Former educator turned nonprofit sector professional, Kelsey Johnson, is from Louisville, MS. She is an alumnus of Mississippi State University and completed her Masters degree at the University of West Alabama.

Kelsey spent nine years in the classroom. Approaching her tenth year, she decided it was time to transition but remain in work that served her community. Since then she has supported several projects that uplift minority populations to better establish themselves for economic mobility.

Now a Jackson resident, Kelsey works as Special Assistant to the CEO at Higher Purpose Co.® and truly values the mission that the organization works diligently to uphold. When she isn’t focused on her professional role, Kelsey indulges in her hobbies. She is a wife and dog-mom and loves spending time outdoors when it isn’t too hot and reading.
