MISSISSIPPI — The 6th Annual Money Purpose Success (MPS) Women’s Entrepreneurship Summit is back and in person at no cost on Saturday, September 18, at the Jackson Convention Complex in Jackson, Mississippi.
MPS was created to accelerate the success of Black women entrepreneurs. Since 2016, hundreds of Black women entrepreneurs from all over Mississippi and the South have attended the MPS Summit.
Every year, the summit features top business leaders and experts who provide attendees with the tools and resources they need to launch and elevate their business. The MPS summit provides education around entrepreneurship, branding and content creation, financial advice, and networking opportunities.
The keynote speaker for the 2021 MPS Summit is Communications Executive and Personal Brand Expert, Kristal Howard. Howard leads storytelling and reputation management and serves as the national spokesperson for one of the world’s largest retailers.
PRWeek ranked Howard #36 on its 2020 Power list, and she was also featured as one of 11 “Black Women to Know in PR, Tech and Digital Media” by EBONY magazine.
Howard said, “Women are driving the entrepreneurship movement and changing generational narratives. I’m eager to join this year’s Money Purpose Success Summit in Jackson, Mississippi to learn and share leading business principles, especially on the power of branding and connection.”
Shequite Johnson, HPC’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) said, “I’m excited to see so many like-minded women come together in one room for the same purpose, to aim higher. I’m hoping these women create new relationships and become more significant people in general while accessing the experiences and the knowledge from one another.”
Johnson hopes the summit will allow women to learn from different aspects and recognize their blind spots, all while working on ideas in a productive way.
Some of our MPS session speakers include Filmmaker and Founder of The Dinner Table Documentary, Asha Boston, Author, Brand Strategist, and Speaker, Maranda Joiner, Founder and CEO of Black Girls Breathing, Jasmine Marie, and Cofounder of Hustlers Guild, Yasmin Salina.
Other summit activities include a free professional headshot by Mississippi photographer Trent Calvin, raffles of Higher Purpose Co (HPC) Business Growth Grants, MPS swag bags, access to vendor’s row, a continental breakfast, and free lunch.
The Money Purpose Success Women’s Entrepreneurship Summit is free, but limited space is available. Registration is available at MoneyPurposeSuccess.com.
This summit will be taking extra COVID-19 safety precautions to ensure our staff, speakers, and attendees are protected.
Money Purpose Success has always been a safe space for the visionary, the entrepreneur, or the entrepreneur to be. Created in 2016 by HPC, MPS’s goal is to inspire women to take the next step with their business ideas, make connections with other entrepreneurs, and to leave the summit feeling more prepared and empowered than ever before.
